Linda McDermon IVC Room Set-up

We are changing our room, within the bounds of a 15 x 20 ft. space, to show more about our location in the world. Our sign, only a painted bulletin board background, has our school name, town, & state. Underneath it is a small table with items from our county. Things that might be recognized by others, such as Krispy Kreme donuts, and items from Old Salem. Winston-Salem, about 2 miles from Rural Hall, is the home of krispy Kreme. It also was the original home of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company,… Continue

Linda McDermon RAP - Read Around the Planet

We completed our final RAP this week. What fun! I'll try to add some of the photos this weekend. These wonderful free programs are directly tied to the NC Standard Course of Study and offer our students many exciting experiences… Continue

Linda McDermon New Codec

We have used a Polycom Viewstation FX for the past six years. Is has served us well. We recently purchased a Tandberg codec to replace our Polycom as our district now supports Tandbergs. We have a full schedule and are excited about our new capabilities. We will be able to host our own multi-site programs in the future. Currently, our building is scheduled to be replaced, and we will have a separate room for videoconferencing, not the end of the computer lab. We can better serve our students wit… Continue
