We have a 20 x 20 foot room for our IVC classroom. We have a banner with our school name and a mural. This is OK, but getting tiresome and when we do special projects, we need more specific backgrounds. What do you use? Art paper or murals? Painted cardboard? We are trying something new (for us) and planning to paint 2 king sized sheets with regular room paint. The art teacher is helping us and we want to paint a beach or island scene. Has anyone tried this before and do you have any tips for us?
OK, we tried the standard paint. The art teacher, Henri Moss, covered the tables with background paper and we spread the sheets out and painted them with rollers and brushes. It dried pretty quickly, didn't stick to the paper--surprised me. And, it worked out to be a quick and simple way to begin the background. The students are making horses and ships for more a a 3d effect.
